Where Is the SEC Tournament in 2027?

Bridgestone Arena · Nashville, Tenn.
Wed–Sun, Mar. 10–14

The SEC men's tournament is locked into Bridgestone Arena through 2030. Fans of all 16 schools descend on Lower Broadway, and the arena sits right on it.

Plan it: Downtown hotels sell out first. The honky-tonks are steps from the arena doors, so a downtown room means no car all week.

Where Is the Big Ten Tournament in 2027?

Gainbridge Fieldhouse · Indianapolis
Wed–Sun, Mar. 10–14

The Big Ten men's tournament returns to Indianapolis in 2027 after a year in Chicago. It heads to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in 2028.

Plan it: Gainbridge is downtown, and much of downtown Indy is walkable or connected by skywalks. Stay in the Wholesale District or near Monument Circle.

Where Is the Big 12 Tournament in 2027?

T-Mobile Center · Kansas City, Mo.
Tue–Sat, Mar. 9–13

Kansas City has hosted the Big 12 tournament since 2010, and both the men's and women's events are signed there through 2031. T-Mobile Center also hosts the NCAA Midwest Regional two weeks later.

Plan it: The arena anchors the Power & Light District, so the bars and the arena are on the same block. Book a downtown room early.

Where Is the ACC Tournament in 2027?

First Horizon Coliseum ↗ · Greensboro, N.C.
Tue–Sat, Mar. 9–13

The ACC men's tournament goes back to Greensboro, which has hosted it more than any other city. It moves to Charlotte's Spectrum Center in 2028.

Plan it: The coliseum is part of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, a short drive from downtown. Most fans stay near the complex or along I-40.

Where Is the Big East Tournament in 2027?

Madison Square Garden · New York
Wed–Sat, Mar. 10–13

The Big East has played its tournament at the Garden since 1983 and is signed there through 2032. Two weeks later, MSG hosts the NCAA East Regional.

Plan it: MSG sits on top of Penn Station, so any hotel near a subway line works. Midtown rooms near the Garden go fast for the semifinals.

Where Is the A-10 Tournament in 2027?

Barclays Center · Brooklyn, N.Y.
Wed–Sun, Mar. 10–14

The Atlantic 10 returns to Barclays Center, with the championship played on Selection Sunday itself. Pair it with the Big East at MSG for a two-tournament New York week.

Plan it: Barclays sits on top of the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center subway hub, about 20 minutes from Midtown.

Selection Sunday 2027: When the Bracket Is Revealed

Selection Sunday is March 14, 2027. The men's field grows from 68 to 76 teams this year, which adds a 12-game opening round before the traditional 64-team bracket.

1.Automatic bids

Every conference tournament champion earns an automatic bid. Some leagues crown their champion on Selection Sunday itself, hours before the bracket is revealed.

2.At-large bids and seeds

The selection committee fills the rest of the 76-team field with at-large teams, seeds everyone and places them in four regions. The women's committee sets its 68-team bracket the same day.

3.Opening round

The 12 lowest-seeded automatic qualifiers and 12 lowest-seeded at-large teams play 12 games on Mar. 16–17. The winners join the 64-team bracket.

Where Is the 2027 Opening Round?

Dayton has hosted the extra games since the field grew to 68 in 2011. Wichita joins it in 2027, with each city hosting six games.
